Christopher began his Scouting experience walking in the footsteps of Lord Baden-Powell, whom he realistically impersonates at many Scouting functions. Chris was born in London and raised in the West Indies where he had his first Scouting experience as a Cub Scout. He and his family later moved to the United States.
His adult Scouting has been in the Suwannee River Area Council in Tallahassee, Florida where he founded the council’s Golden Eagle Banquet, became vice president of Learning for Life, and council president for six years. Christopher is a Vigil Honor Member of the Order of the Arrow. He is the vice president of Area Four and a member of the Southern Region Executive Board, where he serves as a member of the council services and membership review committees.
An active member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, he is a lay minister and president of the charter partner committee. His service to youth and the church was recognized when he received the St. George Award in 1994.
Christopher is the president of the Board of Visitors for the MBA program at Florida State University. In recognition of his dedication and service, the school created the Christopher Campbell Distinguished Alumni Award.
Christopher and his wife, Tina, have two Eagle Scout sons, Barrett and Fleming, and a Venture crew daughter, Caroline, who is working on her Ranger Award.
